Georgetown University to develop a boathouse on the Boathouse Parcel.

The Georgetown Boathouse Surplus Declaration and Disposition Approval Act of 2026 facilitates the transfer of real property along the Potomac River in Georgetown. The National Park Service (NPS) will transfer administrative jurisdiction over certain parcels to the District of Columbia. The District will then convey a portion of the Boathouse Parcel to Georgetown University in fee simple, lease another portion for 99 years, and grant a license for another portion. The University will donate the Upriver Parcel to the NPS.
