The Full Accountability in Arrest Reporting Emergency Amendment Act of 2026 mandates that within five business days after an incident where a federal law enforcement officer commits a serious use of force against an individual in the presence of Metropolitan Police Department members, the Mayor must publicly release the body-worn camera footage of the incident. This requirement applies if the incident is captured in whole or in part on a body-worn camera recording made by a member of the Metropolitan Police Department.
