Expanding Downtown Affordable Housing Options Act of 2025 establishes a grant program for office building conversions to community housing.

The Expanding Downtown Affordable Housing Options Act of 2025 creates a Community Housing Feasibility Grant Program. This program will provide grants up to $75,000 to commercial property owners to assess the financial feasibility of converting office buildings into community housing. Eligible buildings must be at least 50% vacant for the previous 12 months and located in designated areas. The grants will support preliminary analysis, including market research and engineering reports. The Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development will administer the program.
