Complete·7/10/26

Amends the Juvenile Curfew Act of 1995 to adjust curfew hours and extend curfew zones.

The Youth Curfew Amendment Act of 2026 modifies the Juvenile Curfew Act of 1995 by setting curfew hours from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. and extending the curfew to apply to individuals under 18 years old. It allows the Mayor to extend curfew hours in the District to protect public safety or property, with such extensions not exceeding 30 days. The Chief of Police can designate extended curfew zones in areas where an Advisory Neighborhood Commission, Business Improvement District, or Main Street organization petitions, provided the zone does not exceed four consecutive days and does not apply to.
