The PARKSNREC Amendment Act of 2025 requires the Director of the Department of Parks and Recreation to notify residents in real-time of the closure or removal of playground or park infrastructure intended for residents with disabilities. Additionally, the Director must publish a real-time list of inclusive and ADA-compliant playgrounds and parks on the agency's website. The act also mandates the Department of General Services to develop a recreation facilities master plan and specifications in collaboration with the Department of Parks and Recreation.
