Establishes a deferred retirement option program for eligible members of the Metropolitan Police Department and Fire and Emergency Medical Services.

The Deferred Retirement Option Program Amendment Act of 2025 establishes a deferred retirement option program (DROP) for eligible members of the Metropolitan Police Department and Fire and Emergency Medical Services Department. Eligible members can participate in DROP for up to three years, during which they continue working while receiving monthly retirement benefits. The program allows eligible members to defer retirement while collecting supplemental payments in a separate retirement account.
