The District of Columbia B26-0001 — Rent Stabilized Housing Inflation Protection Continuation Emergency Amendment Act of 2025 restricts rent adjustments for units occupied by elderly or disabled tenants, without regard to income, to the lesser of the general rent adjustment, the most recent annual cost-of-living adjustment for social security benefits, or 4% of the rent charged. This act applies from January 12, 2025, and will remain in effect for a specified period after approval by the Mayor.
