As introduced, Bill 26-639 would require the Washington Convention and Sports Authority to maintain a policy with respect to the use of temporary employees at the new convention center.

As introduced, Bill 26-646 would require the Office of the Chief Financial Officer to conduct comprehensive periodic reviews to determine increases in the maximum contribution limit for college savings accounts.

As introduced, Bill 26-647 would allow renters to obtain short-term rental licenses. It would also allow District residents that own a second property in the District to obtain a short-term rental license for the second property. It would also address the number of unlicensed short-term rental properties that are advertised on booking services platforms by requiring the booking service platform to obtain a business license to operate in the District.

As introduced, Bill 26-644 would establish the Targeted ANC 8A Moratorium Zone and limit the number of off-premises retailer’s class A or B licenses in the Targeted ANC 8A Moratorium Zone.

As introduced, Bill 26-367 would require the Department of Human Services to issue electronic benefit transfer cards with theft prevention technology and to restore public assistance lost due to theft. As introduced, Bill 26-645 would authorize deposits of certain recaptured downtown conversion tax abatements into the Home Purchase Assistance Fund. It would establish clawback provisions for certain downtown conversion tax abatements and redirect recaptured amounts to the Home Purchase Assistance Fund. Among other things, it would require the publication of biennial tax expenditure reviews and require the Office of the Chief Financial Officer to publish a regional economic competitiveness dashboard.

As introduced, Bill 26-414 would authorize healthcare providers in the District to order and administer immunizations recommended by competent medical and public health organizations designated by the Director of the Department of Health.

As introduced Bill 26-29 would assist survivors of sexual misconduct by requiring institutions of higher education in the District to retain a confidential resource advisor (CRA) to provide emergency and ongoing support to reporting parties at institutions of higher education. It would require amnesty protections for reporting parties of sexual misconduct in certain cases. Institutions would be required to facilitate mandatory annual sexual misconduct trainings for all students and personnel. It would establish minimum criteria for institutions’ sexual misconduct policies. It would also, among other things, require institutions to submit to the Higher Education Licensure Commission a report containing data about sexual misconduct on campus. As introduced, Bill 26-643 would require the mayor to establish a Community Service Debt Repayment Program to allow residents to perform community service to repay debts related to certain unpaid notices of infraction.

As introduced, Bill 26-233 would require candidate nomination petition affidavits to state that the circulator has not altered signer information on a petition after a signer has signed the petition. It would prohibit anyone from altering signer information provided by the petition signer, unless the signer requests assistance in signing. It would amend the Initiative Referendum and Recall Procedures Act of 1979 to require initiative, referendum and recall petition affidavits to state that the circulator has not altered signer information on a petition after a signer has signed the petition. It also prohibits anyone from altering signer information provided by the petition signer, except in cases where the signer requests assistance.
