As introduced, Bill 26-656 would authorizing and regulate internet gaming in the District of Columbia. It would establish a comprehensive licensing, consumer protection, responsible gaming, taxation, reporting, and enforcement framework administered by the Office of Lottery and Gaming. It would require Certified Business Enterprise participation plans for internet gaming operators and establish a Community Reinvestment Fund.

As introduced, Bill 26-98 would designate public transit employees as eligible recipients for the Government Employer-Assisted Housing Program.

As introduced, Bill 26-177 would prevent housing providers from evicting tenants on any day when the temperature is predicted to be above 95 degrees.

As introduced, Bill 26-247 would permit the Mayor to approve a petition by the Anacostia BID to expand its geographic area to include exempt real property owners.

As introduced, Bill 26-327 would amend the method for calculating individual school budgets within the District of Columbia Public Schools System by adding average position cost as a factor.

As introduced, Bill 26-173 would provide limited civil liability in certain cases to licensed architects and professional engineers who , in good faith and without compensation render assistance at the scene of or in connection with a life-threatening emergency in the built environment, at the direction or approval of a federal or District official, during a period of a public emergency or within 90 days following the end of a life -threatening emergency in the built environment.

As introduced, Bill 26-421 would authorize the establishment and administration of the Soul of the City Business Improvement District.

As introduced, Bill 26-408 would require the Department of Youth Rehabilitation Services (DYRS) to maintain an electronic record of its attempts to contact the appropriate parties, including parents and guardians, prior to a predisposition meeting and to make this log available to the Chair of the Council committee with oversight of the DYRS.

As introduced, Bill 26-287 would, among other things, authorize the Department of Licensing and Consumer Protection to deny the issuance of a basic business license to a person, business entity, or beneficial owner who has an ownership interest in a rental property with outstanding Class 1 and or Class 2 housing code violations. As introduced, Bill 26-667 would prohibit algorithmic pricing of consumer goods.

As introduced, Bill 26-657 would modernize the District’s tax increment financing authority, establish a vacant and blighted property acquisition and affordable housing disposition program, create a lease-purchase homeownership opportunity pilot, create a first-time homebuyer mortgage interest tax credit for qualifying households, establish a residential infill program to streamline the subdivision process for zoning confirming residential lots and support participating homeowners. It would among other things establish a Building Permit Advisory Council to make policy recommendations.
