Establishes quarterly real property tax payments and assessment criteria in the District of Columbia.
The Revenue Stabilization and Land Value Assessment Amendment Act of 2026 amends Title 47 of the District of Columbia Official Code to require real property taxes to be paid quarterly starting from July 1, 2028. It also sets criteria for assessing the market value of real property and the independent valuation of land and improvements. The Mayor must conduct and publicize assessment-sales ratio studies for different types of real property. The act takes effect after approval by the Mayor and a 30-day congressional review period.
