SB51 amends the Charter of the City of Harrington to grant the city council the power to impose and collect a lodging tax of no more than 3% of the rent for hotel, motel, or tourist home rooms within the city. This tax applies in addition to any state-imposed lodging tax. The amendment takes effect retroactively from March 4, 2024.
