Delaware SB4 amends Title 29 of the Delaware Code to strengthen the Office of Inspector General. The bill establishes the Office as an independent and nonpartisan agency tasked with investigating state agencies for fraud, waste, mismanagement, corruption, and other abuses of governmental resources. The Inspector General is appointed by the Governor from a list of three nominees provided by the Selection Panel, which includes members from the General Assembly, the Delaware State Bar Association, and other public interest groups.
