SB305 amends Chapter 21, Title 21 of the Delaware Code to allow the Division of Motor Vehicles to issue special Delaware State University registration plates for qualifying vehicles. The plates are available for private passenger vehicles with a manufacturer’s gross vehicle weight rating of 26,000 pounds or less. Owners must pay a one-time fee of $65, which includes a $15 administrative fee, in addition to the annual registration fee. The remaining funds from the fee support Delaware State University’s deposit in the Delaware State University Fund.
