Delaware SB270 amends Title 26 of the Delaware Code to regulate portable solar generation devices. These devices are exempt from interconnection requirements, interconnection agreements, and net metering program requirements unless the customer intends to engage in net metering. The devices must be certified by Underwriters Laboratories or an equivalent testing laboratory, have a maximum power output of 800 watts, and connect to a building's electrical system through a standard 120-volt outlet. They must also meet the National Electrical Code standards.
