Establishes a Delaware Certificate of Arts Excellence for high school students demonstrating sustained engagement and achievement in the arts.
The bill amends Title 14 of the Delaware Code to establish a Delaware Certificate of Arts Excellence. Beginning with the 2027 through 2028 school year, high school students can apply for this certificate by submitting an application through their school. The Department of Education will award the certificate to students who meet the adopted minimum requirements, which may include academic classwork, real-life learning experiences, and other measures of college and career readiness.
