SB248 amends workplace safety program to adjust safety credit calculations for employers in Delaware.
SB248 amends Title 19 of the Delaware Code to modify the workplace safety program. It introduces a new formula for calculating safety credits, which will be based on the credibility of the employer's experience rating. If an employer was not experience-rated in the previous policy period, the credibility will be set by the Insurance Commissioner. The safety credit percentages will be rounded to the nearest whole percent. This Act will take effect for safety credit calculations communicated by the Department of Insurance on or after December 1, 2026.
