Amends Delaware Code to allow direct delivery of dialysate drugs or devices to patients or providers for home dialysis.
Delaware SB182 amends Title 24 of the Delaware Code to allow manufacturers or wholesalers to directly deliver dialysate drugs or devices to patients with end-stage renal disease or their designees for self-administration, or to health care providers for delivery to patients. This provision applies to home dialysis and requires that the drugs or devices be FDA-approved, held by a properly registered manufacturer or agent, delivered in original packaging, and provided only upon receipt of a prescription from a practitioner.
