The Delaware SB102 amends Title 24 of the Delaware Code relating to the Board of Electrical Examiners. It updates the definitions and qualifications for various electrician licenses, including apprentice and school apprentice electricians. Apprentice electricians licensed for 5 years or more before July 1, 2026, cannot renew their licenses past their expiration date, but may request a 1-year extension for good cause. Apprentice electricians licensed less than 5 years before July 1, 2026, will have their licenses expire 5 years from the issue date, with possible 1-year extensions.
