Delaware HB84 amends Title 19 to restrict employer-sponsored meetings or communications about religious or political matters.

Delaware HB84 amends Title 19 of the Delaware Code to clarify that it is an unlawful employment practice for an employer to require an employee to attend or participate in a meeting or communication primarily about religious or political matters. Exceptions include when the meeting is required by law, wholly voluntary, or necessary for job duties. Religious employers are exempt if the meetings are religious. Employers cannot retaliate against employees who report violations. The bill also sets fines for retaliation violations.
