Delaware HB54 creates the Office of Suicide Prevention within the Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health. The Office will coordinate suicide prevention resources, assist the suicide prevention coalition, provide guidance, promote best practices, oversee funding, and prepare annual reports. It will also create and update the State’s Suicide Prevention Plan. The Office will be led by a Director who reports to the Division’s Director.
