Delaware HB476 amends the Charter of the Town of Frederica by changing the Town Council's meeting schedule and the effective date of adopted ordinances. The bill specifies that the Town Council shall hold two meetings each month on the first and third Wednesdays at 7 p.m. If the first Wednesday is a legal holiday, the meeting is cancelled and rescheduled for the third Wednesday. Emergency meetings can be held for public peace, health, and safety. Additionally, ordinances now become effective immediately upon adoption unless a later date is specified.
