Delaware HB47 amends Title 31 of the Delaware Code to require background checks for all employees, contractors, and volunteers of private schools. The checks include fingerprint-based Delaware and national background checks, as well as Child Protection Registry checks. The State Bureau of Identification (SBI) and the Department of Services for Children, Youth and Their Families (DSCYF) conduct these checks.
