Delaware HB420 amends Title 24 of the Delaware Code to update massage and bodywork certification requirements. Effective after December 31, 2024, the Board will no longer issue initial certifications to practice as a certified massage technician. Applicants must complete a 300-hour course of supervised in-class study, including anatomy and physiology, theory and technique, ethics, law, and contraindications. Applicants must also pass a state-certified examination in cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training and possess current CPR certification, with exceptions for lower limb amputees.
