Establishes the Office of Gun Violence Prevention and Community Safety within the Department of Safety and Homeland Security.

The bill establishes the Office of Gun Violence Prevention and Community Safety within the Department of Safety and Homeland Security. The Office will promote interagency cooperation, coordinate state efforts, and report on recurring gun violence issues to the Secretary. The Governor may designate a staff member to support the Office and manage community engagement. The Secretary will designate a Director for the Office, who will serve as a liaison for intergovernmental and community-based organizations. All relevant state departments must cooperate with the Office.
