Delaware HB356 amends Title 16 of the Delaware Code to prohibit the manufacture, sale, offer for sale, distribution for sale, or distribution for use in the state of class B firefighting foam containing intentionally added PFAS chemicals starting January 1, 2028. Manufacturers must notify purchasers about the presence of PFAS in firefighting personal protective equipment starting January 1, 2027. Manufacturers must also recall and reimburse purchasers for class B firefighting foam containing PFAS by March 1, 2028.
