Delaware HB274 amends Title 30 of the Delaware Code to change the Child and Dependent Care Expense Tax Credit. Effective for taxable years beginning on or after January 1, 2027, the bill increases the credit to 100% of the federal credit amount. The credit remains subject to the limitation that it cannot exceed the tax due under the chapter. The bill also adjusts the language to clarify that the credit applies to the spouse with the lower taxable income when spouses file separate Delaware returns.
