Delaware HB254 amends Title 4 and Title 29 of the Delaware Code to establish the Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion within the Department of Human Resources. The Division will assume responsibilities previously assigned to the Governor’s Council on Equal Employment Opportunity. The Chief Diversity Officer will guide efforts to define, assess, and cultivate access, diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout state government. The Office of Women’s Advancement and Advocacy may collaborate with the Division for assistance, information, or data.
