Delaware HB236 amends the County and Municipal Police/Firefighter Pension Plan and the County and Municipal Employees Retirement Plan. It allows counties, municipalities, volunteer ambulance companies, and volunteer fire companies to join the pension plan starting July 1 of any year after July 1, 1984. The bill also modifies eligibility criteria for firefighters and emergency medical technicians, including those hired after the effective date of the Act.
