Delaware HB174 amends Title 11 of the Delaware Code to establish the Suicide Victims’ Assistance Fund, administered by the Victims’ Compensation Assistance Program. The fund provides financial assistance and services to eligible family members of individuals who died by suicide, including mental health counseling, funeral and burial expenses, temporary housing, moving expenses, and suicide scene cleanup. The fund also covers lost wages for parents or guardians caring for children or dependents of the deceased.
