Delaware HB168 amends Title 11 of the Delaware Code to classify breaches of no contact provisions in sentencing orders as new crimes. If a defendant knowingly breaches a no contact provision from a sentencing order for at least one misdemeanor charge, the breach is a class A misdemeanor. For breaches from sentencing orders for at least one felony charge, the breach is a class G felony. Each breach is considered a separate charge. The amendment does not interfere with a court's power to punish for probation violations.
