Delaware HB149 amends Title 18 of the Delaware Code to redefine school-based health centers (SBHC). These centers are health clinics located in or near a school facility, organized through school and health provider relationships, and recognized by the state. They provide primary health services to children, including mental health and substance use disorder assessments and treatment. The Department of Public Health is granted authority to approve supervised clinical training rotations for mental health providers at SBHCs.
