Delaware HB12 amends Title 14 of the Delaware Code to establish a Teacher Academy scholarship for students entering or enrolled in an educator preparation program. The scholarship, available starting in the 2025-2026 school year, is limited to 35 awards per year and may expand based on interest and funding. To be eligible, applicants must have completed a Teacher Academy and be enrolled in an educator preparation program as a full-time student with the intent to earn a bachelor’s degree. The scholarship award is $2,500 for one year, payable in two equal parts.
