The Colorado Patient Access and Compounding Clarity Act updates state law to reflect modern standards for compounding drugs and devices. It allows licensed pharmacies and outsourcing facilities to compound drugs and devices in sterile or nonsterile environments, provided they comply with federal and state laws. The act also permits licensed health-care providers, pharmacies, facilities, and organizations to obtain, dispense, or administer compounded drugs and devices supplied by licensed pharmacies or outsourcing facilities.
