The bill encourages the President of the University of California, the Chancellor of the California State University, and the Chancellor of the California Community Colleges to form a workgroup of faculty, staff, and administrators. The workgroup will review artificial intelligence use in higher education, discuss strategies and best practices, and create a public report. The report will be submitted to the Legislature and relevant policy committees. The workgroup will also strategize on providing professional support to professors on using artificial intelligence in student and faculty work.
