It honors Deputy David Piquette, who served with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and was killed in a traffic accident in 2006. The Department of Transportation is requested to determine the cost of appropriate signs for this special designation and, upon receiving donations from nonstate sources sufficient to cover the cost, to erect those signs.
