This bill proposes to amend the California Constitution to restrict the Governor's power to grant pardons and commutations to certain relatives. Specifically, the Governor would be prohibited from granting a pardon or commutation to themselves, their spouse or domestic partner, their parents, their grandparents, the parents and grandparents of their spouse or domestic partner, their children, stepchildren, adopted children, siblings, nieces, nephews, or grandchildren.
