SB 4 amends the Budget Act of 2024 to authorize the Director of Finance to augment appropriations for any department or agency from any available source of funding, including the General Fund, up to a total of $1,500,000,000. These augmentations are intended for use by state departments and entities for wildfire response and recovery efforts, including emergency protective measures, evacuations, sheltering for survivors, hazardous waste removal, hazard assessment and remediation, traffic control, environmental testing, and other actions to protect health, safety, and expedite recovery.
