California SB900 mandates disclosure of top contributors for certain political advertisements.
California SB900, also known as the Print Ads DISCLOSE Act, requires specific disclosures for political advertisements funded by committees. Advertisements paid for by committees, excluding political party committees or candidate-controlled committees, must include the words "Ad paid for by" followed by the committee's name. For advertisements larger than 187 square inches, the top three contributors must be disclosed, listed in descending order of their contributions. Smaller advertisements must disclose only the largest contributor if they contributed $50,000 or more.
