Establishes a Small Business Advocate to represent small businesses before state agencies and promote their interests.
The bill amends the Government Code to create a Small Business Advocate appointed by the Governor. The Advocate will represent small businesses before state agencies, consult with experts on small business investment, and collaborate with other programs to promote small business participation. The Advocate will also maintain and distribute an annual list of small business liaisons throughout the state.
