This bill exempts urban intermodal rail station projects from certain environmental review requirements under the California Environmental Quality Act. The exemption applies to projects that modernize and expand existing station facilities and rail infrastructure to improve operational efficiency, passenger capacity, and intermodal connectivity. The lead agency must file a notice of exemption with the Office of Land Use and Climate Innovation and the county clerk of the county in which the project is located.
