The Grassland Ecological Area Conservancy Act creates the Grassland Ecological Area Conservancy as a state agency within the Natural Resources Agency. The Conservancy aims to protect, conserve, and restore the physical, cultural, archaeological, historical, and living resources of the Grassland Ecological Area and Grassland Focus Area, including migratory birds and other wildlife. The Conservancy can acquire, lease, or transfer interests in real property, provide grants and loans, and enter into agreements for construction, management, or maintenance of facilities.
