Assembly Concurrent Resolution 218 designates a specified portion of State Route 18 in San Bernardino County as the Huuc Atam Highway. The resolution also requests the Department of Transportation to determine the cost of appropriate signs for this special designation and, upon receiving donations from nonstate sources sufficient to cover the cost, to erect those signs. The Huuc Atam Highway is named after the Maara’yam traditional name for the Arrowhead landmark, which is sacred to the Yuhaaviatam of San Manuel Nation and plays an important part in their culture.
