ACA 15, introduced by Tangipa and co-authors, proposes an amendment to the California Constitution to add Section 5 to Article XXI, concerning redistricting. If ACA 8 is enacted and approved by voters, it would adopt new congressional district boundaries. Section 5 of ACA 15 prohibits any legislator who voted in favor of ACA 8 from running for congressional office in any district created by ACA 8. This prohibition only takes effect if ACA 8 is approved by voters and becomes operative.
