California AB826 prohibits individuals or businesses from charging fees to assist veterans with filing claims for veterans' benefits with the United States Department of Veterans Affairs, unless they are accredited by the VA for that purpose. Each document filed or document that a veteran received assistance in filing, in exchange for a fee, is considered one violation.
