Waives campus-based fees for veterans' dependents, foster youth, and Medal of Honor recipients.

This bill waives campus-based fees for dependents of veterans, foster youth, and Medal of Honor recipients. It applies to University of California, California State University, and California Community Colleges. Dependents of veterans with service-connected disabilities or who died in service qualify if their income is below the state poverty level. Foster youth under 25 who have been in foster care for at least 12 months also qualify. Children of Medal of Honor recipients under 27 are eligible. The waiver applies to each academic year the student is eligible.
