AB2090

Guardianships and conservatorships: accounting exemptions.

Final Passage·6/25/26

California AB2090 exempts guardians and conservators from presenting accounts if certain conditions are met.

AB2090 amends Section 2628 of the Probate Code to allow courts to exempt guardians or conservators from presenting accounts if the estate's net value is under $30,000, excluding the residence, and all income was spent for the ward or conservatee's benefit. This exemption applies if the monthly income was under $3,200. The exemption can be made ex parte or with required notice.
