California AB1226 amends the Health and Safety Code to exempt wildland vegetation management burning from certain permit requirements if conducted by designated public fire protection agencies or equivalent agencies. If the Commission on State Mandates determines that this act contains costs mandated by the state, reimbursement to local agencies and school districts for those costs shall be made pursuant to the Government Code.
