California AB1002 adds provisions to the Business and Professions Code, authorizing the Attorney General to bring civil actions against contractors for failing to pay workers the full wages owed under state law, not fulfilling wage judgments, or violating court orders on wage payments. The Attorney General must notify the registrar of contractors 30 days before filing a complaint. The Contractors State License Board may intervene in such proceedings within 60 days of the complaint filing.
