Arkansas SR12 authorizes the introduction of a bill to regulate the impact of blockchain networks and digital asset mining on water usage and the electrical grid. The Arkansas Natural Resources Commission will monitor water usage and can take action against excessive users. The Arkansas Public Service Commission will monitor the electrical grid and can halt service to networks or mining operations that threaten grid reliability. Rules implementing these provisions must be filed by January 1, 2027.
