SB1818

Wayfinding signs; cities and towns

Chamber Passed·3/10/26

Arizona SB1818 allows cities and towns to place wayfinding signs at preapproved locations without prior department approval.

Arizona SB1818 amends title 28, chapter 23, article 1, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 28-7916. This new section allows cities and towns to place wayfinding signs for preapproved locations within their jurisdiction without submitting an application for preapproval to the department. Instead, cities and towns must submit the finished sign placement location and design to the department.
